The Most Important Thing To Do Before Your 2026 Golf Season Begins

Set your expectations for the season ( Keep it detailed as possible)

What will your practice sessions look like?

What will your training sessions look like?

How many rounds a week?

What went wrong last year?

What needs improvement?

Do you want to win the Club Championship or Member/Guest?

Make the cut at the state amateur?

Make it to Q-School? Or PGA Tour?

Just play golf for fun and not hurt during or after?

Every single one of these are goals for different golfers. Spend a whole week pondering over this, then write it down. Pin it to a wall or in your golf bag and go over it periodically to see how your season is progressing and if you are hitting your targets.

Here is my list from 2025

Win Flight in member/member ✅

Not come in dead last in Club Championship- T2 ✅

Reach Sweet 16 in match play tournament- Reached quarterfinals ✅

Reach 3 handicap- 5.4 Hcp❌

Shoot 74 for PR- 76 with bogey on 18...❌

Gain back 10 MPH in swing speed (Lost swing last year could barely swing 104 MPH)- Have reached 115 MPH and averaging 107 on driver now ✅

The list does not have to be complicated but each year you should aim for new milestones and new personal records. Anything is achievable and that is what I want for all golfers I work with! Best of luck in your 2026 golf season!
