Winter is coming...Which wolf will you feed?

There is a big storm blowing across the south this week. Freezing polar winds from the NW that will shut down courses and keep people indoors. That is why many, of us, golfers live in the Southern States. We embrace the hot and humid conditions on a mid June day and dream of hitting a pure 7-Iron to 10-feet on our favorite par 3.

During this freezing weather, most people will choose to sit inside and be under a blanket letting their body conform to comfort and laziness. Spending a day in the same sedentary position is not what we were meant to do. Movement and activity during these cold periods is really the best way to stay warm. Your heart will pump and sustain a heat that a blanket mainly provides while we sleep.

BUT

Golf season is a few months from heating up and if you have not utilized your time working on the hard things in the gym (mastering your bodies mobility and strength), you might be taking an extra 2 months to "Find your grove." You will then think about how you sat inside miserable at the end of January because of the mother nature preventing you from playing golf. When in reality it was the wrong wolf you fed during this so called "miserable time" you chose not to utilize. We will see which players chose to feed the wolf of starvation that chose to eat and chase after his desire of being stronger, faster, and more agile.

So that is the real question.... Which wolf are you feeding?

Don't find yourself in that pickle when March hits.

If you have not downloaded the TPI app I will not be able to push these exercises to your routines. I highly suggest booking a call with me and we can schedule an online assessment that will help us build a program to help you be ready for the Spring season.

Schedule a call or TPI assessment so we can get to the source of your body and swing issues. You won't regret it.
